Crypto.com and MetaMask are companies dedicated to buying, selling, maintaining, and storing cryptocurrencies. However, the choice of choosing one is a cause for concern. In the current scenario, Crypto.com is quite popular compared to MetaMask. People are also wondering if these cryptocurrency companies are safe to invest in or not. Therefore, choosing the right one is very important.
What is MetaMask?

Metamask is an easy-to-use interface that connects your browser to the Ethereum blockchain. This connection acts as a host network for many decentralized applications. Internet users and customers can store Ether or any other ERC-20 token created on the Ethereum network and then use this cryptocurrency with their favourite dApp. The wallet was originally accessible as a browser extension.
Usually, you will need a Chromium-based web browser. However, it could be Firefox, Chrome or even Brave browser. If you choose not to use Metamask via a web browser, the company recently made an Andriod and iPhone app for mobile users. Metamask’s encryption capabilities differentiate it from other wallets. Passwords and private keys are secure, and the user is solely responsible for managing the passphrase.
San Francisco, California, is home to MetaMask. “Https://metamask.io” is the address of the MetaMask site. However, MetaMask has been around since 2016, thanks to ConsenSys, a blockchain software company specializing in Ethereum-based infrastructure and tools. You can access MetaMask through a mobile app or browser extension.
What is Crypto.com?

Crypto.com was founded in 2016 and had been operating ever since. Crypto.com is based in Hong Kong. The URL “https://crypto.com” is to connect uto Crypto.com. Kris Marszalek is the driving force behind the success of Crypto.com. Kris Marszalek, an experienced entrepreneur from Hong Kong, is in charge of the business.
Crypto.com, like Binance.com, is a crypto investment platform that connects investors. At Crypto.com, CRIPE offers a variety of goods and services to a digital asset exchange organization, enabling an investor to buy, pay bills, spend, earn, trade, sell, hold and borrow funds. The website is constantly gaining international recognition. As a result, many people wonder if Crypto.com is safe. Don’t worry if you have the same question; you have everything you need to know here.
As you already know, Crypto.com, a decentralized exchange (DEX), has launched its main network – the Cronos network.
The Cronos chain is an Ethereum virtual machine and is compatible with EVM MetaMask. Like most centralized exchanges (such as Binance) that settle their transactions in their home currency, Cronos’ base settlement currency is the $CRO.
$CRO is currently integrated with Crypto.com Exchange, its mobile app, and its native wallet.
Cronos works with a Proof of Authority (PoA) consensus algorithm and with Ethermint, a chain of PoS interoperable with Ethereum.
Its goal is to massively evolve the Chain DeFi ecosystem, allowing developers to quickly move applications and smart contracts from Ethereum and other EVM-enabled chains.
Find out how to configure MetaMask to connect to Cronos.
Step 1: Configure your MetaMask

If you haven’t downloaded MetaMask, you can visit the MetaMask website to download the browser extension.
Step 2: Connect MetaMask to Cronos

Under MetaMask, edit the connected blockchain by clicking on the “Ethereum Main Network” tab to open the drop-down menu that displays all the blockchains you are connected to.
Scroll down until you find a custom RPC.

Enter your Cronos settings as follows:
- Network name: Cadena Cronos
- New RPC URL: https://evm-cronos.crypto.org
- Channel ID: 25
- Symbol: CROS
- Block Explorer URL: https://cronos.crypto.org/explorer/

Just like this and Click on Save “.
You are now connected to the main Cronos network with your MetaMask wallet!
Step 3. Send $CRO to your MetaMask wallet via Crypto.com Exchange

You will need $CRO to start interacting with decentralized applications on the Cronos core network.
The fastest and most straightforward way would be to send your CRO to your MetaMask wallet through Crypto.com Exchange. There is a minimum of $0.4 CRO to withdraw through the Cronos network, and it costs $0.2 CRO for a CRO withdrawal in USD, regardless of the size of your withdrawal.
When switching, be sure to select the Cronos network when sending $CRO tokens, not the “CRO” network, which is the first option.
Once you have selected your network, you can send $CRO to MetaMask, and you will see $CRO in your Metamask wallet.
It’s like Binance Smart Chain Network (being Cronos Network) and only Binance Chain Network (being CRO Network).
Sending it to the “CRO” network would involve additional cost (and labour) to send it back to the Cronos network. The CRO network would also require memory, which is unnecessary if you send it to the right address.
